Requirements:

  • Attain the Solution Selling Professional Seller Status
  • Provide manager or client approved Verifiable Outcomes for two opportunities:
    • Sales Process Map
    • Sponsor Letter (or email) response
    • Power Sponsor Letter (or email) response
    • Evaluation Plan
  • Provide manager-approved Territory or Account Plan and at least two Opportunity Plans
  • Provide proof of Solution Selling® graded pipeline spanning at least six months (e.g. Pipeline Report)
  • Provide two Client Reference Stories in Solution Selling® format
  • Provide a set of Solution Selling® Sales Execution Methodology Job Aids that include:
    • Pain Chain®
    • Business Development Prompter
    • Business Development Letter (or email)
    • Value Proposition
    • Pain Sheet®
    • Value Analysis
    • Success Criteria
    • Negotiating Worksheet

Assessment Process: 

SPI’s assigned instructor ensures that the candidate understands, gathers, and creates all documentation required for certification. The instructor previews the materials and provides feedback indicating items needing further attention (if applicable). After candidate submits final materials, the instructor evaluates and returns an Assessment Report with a pass / fail grade.
